FAQ - Latitude12 Model Management

1. How does Latitude12 work?

We have been in the business of managing international models in India since 2002. Along the way we have managed contracts for Indian models as well, signing up exclusive contracts with some of the top Indian brands in the country. Our expertise runs in the area of finding models with the right brand fit from around the world on direct booking. We also specializing in helping the brands create the ‘look’ that will be a brand differentiator.With models who are signed up with us or on-stay from a different country, we help them reach their potential by exploring their inherent qualities and making them discover their potential, both in terms of financial as well as work satisfaction. We are not a model grooming company. We specialize in unearthing hidden potential. We do not charge for our services but earn a commission on the work we get our models. We are not model coordinators neither are we a casting agency. Both are specialized fields in their own right and beyond the scope of our work. We only work with models who are signed up with us in India unless we are doing direct booking of international models.

2. What is direct booking?

Direct booking is when a client requires a model who is not in India nor is signed up with Latitude12 but is with a collaborating agency in another country and requires her/him to be flown to India or anywhere else for a shoot.

3. What is exclusivity?

Exclusivity is when a model signs up with a brand relinquishing her right to work on any other brands in the same category for a specified period of time. For this the model charges an ‘exclusivity’ fee.

4. What is ‘usage’?

Usage defines the territory that the client will release the model’s picture as well as the number of years it will be in use and as mentioned in the model release form and estimate.
The media in which the picture would be released also is defined in ‘usage’.

5. What is a model ‘release’?

It is a form that contains the brand name, the territory of release of the ad and the number of years for which the client can use the pictures and is signed by the model allowing the client to carry out the activities as defined in the release form.

6. How can models sign up with Latitude12?

Models can get in touch with us or walk in on specific days with their book and meet the bookers. If found eligible they will be offered a one year contract.

7. Do we charge a model for shooting her portfolio?

Once a model is signed up with Latitude12, we make arrangements for portfolios to be shot under our direction for which the money will be advanced by the agency. The money will then be deducted from the fee the model earns from her shoot after agency commission.
